Creator of Netflix Series ‘Squid Game’ Officially Announces Season 2

Season one of Squid Game left us hanging, but now the wildly popular Korean survival series is getting a second season.

The director and writer of K-Series, “Squid Game”, was interviewed by the Associated Press and during the interview revealed that there is so much love and demand for a second season. There is pressure for a second season because of the demand from viewers.

“So there’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season. So I almost feel like you leave us no choice,” Hwang told AP.

Director Hwang who is currently in the process of planning a Season 2, said, “But I will say there will indeed be a second season. It’s in my head right now. I’m in the planning process currently. But I do think it’s too early to say when and how that’s going to happen. So I will promise you this: Kihoon will come back, he’ll do something for the world.”

The Korean series ‘Squid Game’ was a sensation when it premiered on Netflix back in September. The show became the number 1 show on Netflix that amassed 111 million viewers in only 17 days on Netflix. The series has been a huge success.
