In 2004, Friendster was one of the most popular social networks on the Internet. Now, it’s practically dead, and you should avoid signing up because of its many flaws as an interactive network. Here’s why you should avoid Friendster…

There was a warning from GamingPH that this was not the official website, it was a fake. Cybersecurity is an important issue that cannot be overlooked. There’s the possibility that, if a user registers on the website, there could be compromised account details.

A recent count indicates that Friendster has more than 6,500 members, including Filipinos. However, CERT-PH has evaluated the website as possibly phishing-related.

The site has a plain appearance with features like the tabs blog, members, groups and forums.

Friendster was the first social networking site that became popular in the early 2000s. However, it eventually shifted its focus to turn into a gaming platform before it shut down completely 4 years later because of newer and faster competitors like Facebook.

Be aware of what you are getting into before you register, guys.
