DyipPay: Making Commuting Easier with Cashless Payments

2 minutes read

Imagine hopping onto a jeepney or a trike and paying for your ride with just your phone. That’s exactly what DyipPay, a new app created by Enrique Tan, a former jeepney driver, aims to achieve. This app is a game-changer, designed to make travel payments hassle-free and convenient for both passengers and Public Utility Transport (PUT) groups.

Solving Common Commuting Problems

DyipPay is all about solving the headaches of not having the exact fare or the driver struggling to give change. It’s similar to the payment systems used by ride-hailing services, aiming to make paying for jeep and trike fares as easy as a few taps on your phone.

“Binigyan ng P500 maagang maaga, alam mo naman sa jeepney meron nakalagay ‘barya lang sa umaga’. Ma solve natin ang problemang ganun,” Tan said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Innovative Features

DyipPay introduces a cool feature—a “para!” button—allowing riders to signal their stop and automatically pay their fare through the app.

How It Works

To use DyipPay, passengers simply scan a QR code inside the vehicle, input their starting point and destination, and voila! The app instantly calculates the fare they need to pay.

Accessibility

You can find DyipPay on the Play Store here. It’s designed to be easy to use, ensuring a smoother and more modern way to handle your travel payments.

DyipPay is more than just an app—it’s a solution crafted by someone who’s been in the driver’s seat and knows the challenges commuters face. It’s set to transform the way we pay for our transportation, promising a more convenient and hassle-free travel experience for everyone.
