Nas Daily has been the subject of a heated social media debate after a young Filipina entrepreneur shared her disappointing experience with the vlogger during a visit to her hometown in San Fernando, Camarines Sur in 2019 which added the heat after Grace Palicas posted on Whang-Od issue.
Nuseir Yassin is a young Arab Israeli who has achieved fame and recognition for his daily one-minute-long videos on Facebook. He started his page on February 10, 2016, and since then has gained over 40 million followers (as of June) and 2 billion views. The Nas Daily Facebook page is mainly about Nuseir’s travels and cultures about the place he visits.
1. 'Whang-od Academy is a scam'
In an online post, Grace called out Nas for appropriating the culture and for his lack of respect, adding that she hoped he would not get the chance to disrespect her family’s heritage again.
WARNING!!! Whang Od Academy is a scam. My grandmother did not sign any contract with @NasDaily to do any academy. Some people are taking advantage of our culture. PLEASE HELP US STOP this disrespect to the legacy of Apo Whang Od and the Butbot Tribe.

As of the moment, the learning page on Nas Academy devoted to Whang-od’s craft is no longer available.
2. Young Filipina chef "disappointing" experience
Louise De Guzman Mabulo was a huge fan of Nas Daily’s coverage of her work on The Cacao Project. She was disappointed to learn that he was not the bearer of good news he’d misled his followers to believe he was. After Grace posting issue on Whang-Od issue, Louise then breaks her silence and shares her bad experience with NAS Daily as well.

The Nas Daily Social Media War Rages On
Many were outraged by Grace and Louise’s issue. As a result, the number of Nas Daily’s followers dropped. Nearly 370k followers have disappeared. On top of that, Project Nightful was affected. He said in the video that people lost respect for him because of the involvement of his name in the issue. He admitted that he was there when the video was shot in San Fernando. Watch Agon Hare’s statement – owner of said project.
The song says, “Hindi na masama ang pag-unlad. Kung hindi nakakasira ng kalikasan”. Like Social Media, our technology has come a long way. In just one sigle post that many can read, it is not far off that most people will believe it especially without proper investigation before convicting an accused. I’m not saying I’m biased on the side of Nas Daily, but let’s first look at each side and find out who is really telling the truth and has the right document. Who do you think is telling the truth and who is not? Let me know in the comment section.
