There was a warning from GamingPH that this was not the official website, it was a fake. Cybersecurity is an important issue that cannot be overlooked. There’s the possibility that, if a user registers on the website, there could be compromised account details.

A recent count indicates that Friendster has more than 6,500 members, including Filipinos. However, CERT-PH has evaluated the website as possibly phishing-related.

Friendster was the first social networking site that became popular in the early 2000s. However, it eventually shifted its focus to turn into a gaming platform before it shut down completely 4 years later because of newer and faster competitors like Facebook.
