Treasure Mountain in Tanay Rizal: The Place To Go If You’re Looking For A Great Day Out
If you’re looking for a fantastic day out, you’ve probably explored a few places in the Philippines. You might have even come across a place that piqued your interest online. But have you actually been there? Recently, I discovered a spot in Tanay, Rizal called Treasure Mountain that I believe is worth a visit if you’re in search of a memorable day. I’m not just saying this because I’m a blogger; I’m saying it because it truly is a fantastic place. Let me share some of the things that impressed me about Treasure Mountain.

Introduction
From the moment you arrive at Treasure Mountain, you can feel its unique atmosphere. It’s a refreshing and peaceful place, with charming cottages as you enter. I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure what to expect initially, and being in a remote location made me a bit nervous. But as soon as you step through the gate, you’re greeted by a relaxing breeze and a serene environment.

What is Treasure Mountain?
Treasure Mountain is the place to go if you want to witness breathtaking views. It’s the perfect destination for anyone who wants to enjoy stunning vistas of the Sierra Madre mountain ranges and, if you’re lucky, a mesmerizing sea of clouds. While the sea of clouds may not always be visible, the overall view is still incredible. You absolutely must see it for yourself! Personally, I was eager to see the sea of clouds, but it seemed a bit elusive during my visit. Nonetheless, I managed to capture some remarkable scenery.

The Highlights of Treasure Mountain
Treasure Mountain offers a wide range of activities and sights to enjoy. Whether you’re up for a challenging rope course, a leisurely stroll, or simply taking in the picturesque Sierra Madre hills, there’s something for everyone. Thrill-seekers can opt for an ATV adventure, while those seeking tranquility can enjoy the fresh morning air. If you prefer, you can even pitch a tent and potentially witness the elusive sea of clouds. For me, the highlight was experiencing the Sea of Clouds, an enchanting spectacle similar to what you might find in Sagada. Most visitors describe it as truly magical!

What to Expect at Treasure Mountain
At the peak, expect a breathtaking panorama with lush trees and captivating rock formations. The short hike to the top is entirely worth it, as it rewards you with this magnificent view. It’s like having your own piece of paradise. As for getting there, Treasure Mountain is conveniently located less than two hours away from the bustling heart of Manila. You can catch a Jeepney from Cubao to Cogeo, where you’ll disembark at Sitio Maysawa. From there, you can hire a tricycle for P150 to take you directly to the mountaintop!

Rates and Fees
Let me emphasize that the entrance fee is quite reasonable, making it accessible to a wide range of visitors. A day tour, for instance, costs as little as PHP 150.00, granting access to the site from 5 AM to 3 PM. If you’re inclined to stay overnight, the entrance fee is PHP 200.00 per person, allowing check-in between 4 PM and 10 PM and departure by 1 PM the following day.
